Yost is a housing service run by MUA Movimento Universitario Altoatesino and dedicated to university students and young workers under 35 looking for an accommodation. The Yost website aims to facilitate the matching of supply and demand for housing in the Province of Bozen/Bolzano, meeting the needs of young people looking for accommodation in our area each year 

Yost is not a site dedicated only to students, but also to young people between the ages of 18 and 35 looking for accommodation. Between May and October, accommodations will be reserved only for students. During the rest of the year the service will also be extended to workers coming to South Tyrol.

Yost is a housing service that mediates between users and landlords. Go to “Accommodations” on our website. Select a listing you are interested in and fill out the information request form at the bottom right. The form will only be visible under accommodations that are available to the Yost team. Within the form, in the “other accommodations” section you will be able to enter one or more links of any other apartments of interest to you. You only need to fill out the form once for one or more listings. By submitting your request you will be contacted within a short time by our team who will provide you with the owners’ contact information.  

From this moment you will have to contact the owners on your own to ask for more information about the accommodation.

The procedure is very simple. From the main page of Yost you can click on “Add an accommodation” in the menu. Enter the required information and proceed to fill in the various details about your accommodation. At the end of the procedure submit your offer and you will be contacted in a short time by our team.  

Yost is a completely free service for both users and landlords and it is made available by MUA Movimento Universitario Altoatesino thanks to the support of the Province and the Municipality of Bolzano, in cooperation with unibz.

Apartments located in and around Bolzano are inspected to ensure the truthfulness and reliability of the listings. We meet the owners in person with whom we establish personal relationships and with whom we sign an agreement form regarding their listing on the platform.  

Thanks to the Facebook group “Yost Apartments Group,” you can stay constantly updated about new listings placed on the site or updates to existing listings.  

The Yost service was founded in 2017 and has a database of more than 200 apartments. Thanks to the established experience of our team, as a landlord we will be able to advise you on what is best suited to your needs and expectations. As a student we will be able to offer you an additional resource when looking for accommodation in South Tyrol.  

Once. You only have to fill out the form once. After we register your request the first time, you can email us directly at info@yost.apartments with links to the listings whose contact information you want. Multiple links in the same e-mail are also fine.  

Also, if you have used Yost in previous years, you can write to us directly by e-mail asking for apartment contacts. Also write in the e-mail that you have filled out the form before!  

The portal database has more than 200 apartments with availability that changes over time depending on the length of contracts. Apartments that we leave on the portal as unavailable will become available again – on a date to be agreed with the ownerswithin 18 months.   

Write an email to info@yost.apartments with the following information:  

  • Names and surnames of the tenants that will be verified in our database (new tenants and/or renewals)  
  • Length of lease agreements and any new availability of the apartment  

It is important to notify us as soon as possible when a room or even a bed is no longer available, because until we are notified the availability remains visible in the ad and students can continue to inquire with the landlords.

We have hundreds of listings on Yost that are updated manually on an ongoing basis. If the owner has notified you that the listing is no longer available when it still appears as such on the site, there may be several reasons behind it. During the “peakperiods of the service for example, we receive many requests for the same accommodation. The owner thus finds himself dealing with so many emails and phone calls from interested parties, and the actual signing of the contract takes time. So until we receive feedback from the owner, the listing is still available to us. Contacting him will serve as further verification of that availability for you. To increase your chances of success, we recommend that you request contact information for multiple accommodations when you fill out the form. In addition, joining the Facebook Group “Yost Apartments Group” and activating notifications for the group will allow you to be notified whenever there is new availability and you can request owner contact information right away 

When you fill out the information request form make sure you have entered all the information correctly, especially the e-mail address, and that you have filled in all the required fields (those with the red asterisk). If you did not receive the automatic response email after filling out the form, something went wrong. Your request, as indicated on the form, will be processed within a maximum of two business days. If not, we suggest you write to us directly at info@yost.apartments   

Yost is just one of the many activities of the MUA Movimento Universitario Altoatesino. In the summer time it may happen to go beyond the two working days indicated. Don’t worry, we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible!
